A lot of Padhify runs on AI. This page explains where, how far you should trust it, what it remembers, and where the line is on using it for schoolwork.
The short version: AI here is a study aid, not an authority. Verify anything that matters.
1. Which features use AI
- AI answers and Logic give worked answers and step-by-step reasoning for questions.
- Pady is the AI study coach you can chat with.
- Mock tests include some questions that are AI-generated rather than taken from a past paper.
- Notes from PDFs, images and videos produce summaries, flashcards and practice questions.
- News Lens builds current-affairs briefs from articles you supply.
AI-assisted surfaces are labelled in the interface. Where a question came from a real past paper, that is shown too, so you always know whether you are looking at an actual exam question or a generated one.
2. What powers it
We use a third-party AI provider under enterprise terms. We do not train models on your data. What gets sent to the model, and what Pady remembers, is described in section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
3. Accuracy: please read this part
AI can be confidently wrong. It can invent a fact, misread a diagram, drop a step in a calculation, or give an outdated answer with complete assurance. This is a property of the technology, not a bug we are about to fix.
What we do to reduce it:
- Where we hold a verified answer key, the explanation is grounded in it.
- Generated mock questions pass through automated quality checks before entering the bank.
- Verified answers are reused rather than regenerated.
- Every AI surface carries a visible reminder that it can be wrong.
What you should do: treat AI output as a knowledgeable study partner, not as the answer key. Check anything that matters against your textbook, the official syllabus, or the exam body's own materials. Take particular care with facts with dates and numbers, current affairs, and anything you are about to memorise.
Spotted something wrong? Use Report issue on the question. Those reports are how bad answers get found and fixed.
4. Academic integrity
Padhify is built to help you learn, not to do your work for you. Using AI output as your own submitted work may break your school's, college's or exam body's rules, and those rules, not ours, are what you will be judged against.
Our guidance:
- Good: asking Pady to explain why an answer is right, to find your weak chapters, or to build you a practice set.
- Good: turning your own notes or a lecture into a summary you then study from.
- Risky: copying AI-written text into an assignment, project or answer sheet that is meant to be your own work.
- Not allowed: using Padhify during an exam, test or any assessment where outside help is prohibited.
If you are unsure whether AI help is permitted for a particular piece of work, ask your teacher or check the exam body's rules before you use it.
5. Pady's memory, and your control over it
To coach you sensibly over weeks rather than starting cold each time, Pady saves short notes about things you tell it that remain relevant, such as your constraints, habits and self-assessments, plus one-line summaries of past conversations.
In Settings, under Privacy & AI, you can see how much it has stored, switch memory off, and delete all of it. Deleting a conversation also deletes the summaries drawn from it. We never build this memory for users under 18.
6. What we do not allow
Do not use Padhify's AI to:
- generate illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit material;
- impersonate a real person, or produce material designed to deceive;
- seek medical, legal, or financial advice, since it is a study tool and is not qualified for those;
- extract our prompts, bypass safety limits, or automate bulk generation for another product.
Misuse can lead to suspension under our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Human involvement
AI responses are generated automatically, without a person reviewing each one. Reported answers are investigated, and a member of our staff may read specific content where there is a reason to.
If an automated restriction affects you, you may ask us to review it and we will respond. Email support@padhify.com to ask for that review.
