Padhify uses very few cookies, essentially just one, to keep you signed in. This page lists everything we store on your device and why.
1. What we store on your device
Padhify uses one cookie and a few browser storage entries. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
| What it is | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in cookie | Cookie (essential) | Keeps you signed in securely. | Until you sign out or the session expires |
| Session data | Session storage | Keeps you signed in while the tab is open. | Until you close the tab |
| Device identifier | Local storage | A random value used to keep your sign-in secure. It does not identify your device. | Until you clear site data |
| Preferences | Local storage | Things like your theme and recent activity, so the app opens the way you left it. | Until you clear site data |
2. Third-party services on our pages
A few third-party scripts load on the site. They see your IP address and browser information as a normal part of serving a request.
- Bot protection. A bot-detection service runs on parts of the site and reads browser signals to tell people apart from scripts. This is a security control, not advertising.
- Aggregate analytics for page views and loading performance, designed to work without cookies and without tracking individuals across sites.
- Our payment provider may set cookies during checkout to secure a transaction.
- Content delivery networks serve fonts, icons and the document viewer.
What each category of provider receives is set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your choices
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and site data, usually under Privacy settings. Blocking our essential cookie will sign you out and keep signing you out, because the service cannot work without it.
Signing out, or deleting your account, clears the session. You can wipe everything Padhify has stored locally by clearing site data for padhify.com in your browser.
Essential storage is used because the service cannot operate securely without it. If we introduce analytics, advertising or payment-related storage that is not strictly necessary, we will provide any consent control required in your country before that storage is used. Withdrawing optional consent will be as easy as giving it.
