You can delete your Padhify account at any time, from inside the app. This page explains exactly what happens when you do, how long you have to change your mind, and what is removed.
Padhify is a product of Anquin LLP, which is the entity responsible for the data described here.
1. Deleting your account from the app
Sign in, open Account settings, and choose to delete your account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, so it cannot happen by accident.
The moment you confirm, your account is deactivated and every session is signed out on every device. Your username stays reserved for you and is not released to anyone else while the grace period runs.
2. The 30 day grace period
Deletion is not immediate. For 30 days your account is deactivated but nothing is erased. During that time you cannot use Padhify, and you will not appear to anyone else on the platform.
Changing your mind is simple: sign in again. Signing in at any point within those 30 days cancels the deletion and restores the account exactly as it was, including your practice history, notes and saved questions. There is nothing else to claim or confirm.
3. When deletion becomes permanent
After the 30 days elapse, a job that runs several times a day permanently deletes the account. Once that has happened the data is gone from the live database and cannot be restored by us or by you, and the username becomes available to other people.
Because the job runs on a schedule rather than at the exact minute your grace period ends, permanent deletion happens within a few hours of the 30 day mark.
4. What is deleted
Permanent deletion removes:
- Your account and profile, including your name, email address, username and date of birth
- Your practice history: test attempts, mock attempts, answers and scores
- Your notes, highlights, saved questions and folders
- Your study activity, streaks and analytics
- Your conversations with our AI features and anything they remembered about you
- Your credit balance and transaction history
- Any referral records connected to your account
- Analytics and security event records tied to your account
- Your address in our waitlist and any one time codes sent to it
5. What is kept, and why
One record survives deletion. If you had unsubscribed from our marketing email, we keep a suppression entry holding your email address and the date you opted out. Deleting it would mean forgetting that you asked not to be contacted, so that a later signup or import could start mailing you again. It holds nothing else about you and is never used to send you anything.
Server logs and backups are not part of the live database and may keep ordinary operational records for a short period before they age out on their normal cycle.
6. If you cannot sign in
Email support@padhify.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. Write "Account deletion" in the subject line. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it, since deletion is permanent and we will not take a stranger's word for who owns an account.
The same address handles questions about data we hold. For complaints, our Grievance Officer is listed on the Contact and Grievance page.
7. Accounts that cannot be deleted in the app
Administrator accounts and the shared demo account used for product reviews cannot delete themselves from within the app, as a safeguard. If you hold one and want it removed, write to support@padhify.com.
